large vellum manuscript dated 12th february 1805 reign of george III elaborate recovery relating to : two messuages, two malthouses, six offices, six gardens, eighty acres of land, forty acres of pasture and common of pasture with the appurtenances in the parish of ashover in the county of derbyshire. william milnes against tipping thomas rigby, “granted to him returnable here in fifteen days of easter”. large engraved border at the top with lion and unicorn and other characters. engraved border at the side with cupids etc. remains of wax seal in skippet attached to document, with about third of the wax remaining on the tag. minor browning with slight fading on side borders. size 25” x 31”, excluding the skippet diameter of skippet : 5" please quote ref 043 |
