1705 reign of queen anne 

elaborate recovery document relating to the foley family, bearing an oval portrait of queen anne ( 5” x 5.5”) set in a large ornate calligraphic letter “A” decorated with scroll work (8” x 9.5”) . the remainder of the border (6.5” deep ) is artistically decorated with roses, thistles, other flowers and a coat of arms. also incorporating a large initial “D”, with scroll and lattice work (3.5” x 3”), a large initial “A” with scroll and lattice work (3” x 3.5”) and a large initial “S” with scroll and lattice work (3” x 3.5”).

 ruled in red, written in Latin in heavy calligraphic text.

 signed Foley but with no wax seal.

 usual browning commensurate with age, otherwise good condition for a document 301 years old.

size 29.5 x 22”, excluding the tag, which is 7” long
